People Spotlight: Aaron Coyne, Partnerships Associate

August 13, 2026

At Bonham & Brook, our people are what set us apart, and Aaron’s story is a great example of what’s possible when you grow alongside a business. Just over five years ago, Aaron joined B&B as an intern. Today, he plays a vital role in the partnership department, a journey that says as much about the company’s growth as it does his own.

His Journey at Bonham & Brook

Aaron joined Bonham & Brook in 2021 as an intern during his industry year, rotating through consultancy, account management, commercial support, and marketing. He stayed on part time through university, managing business retention one to two days a week, before pitching leadership on a full-time retention role after graduating. Instead, leadership saw a different opportunity for him: Partnerships, a department that was still finding its shape at the time.

“It’s been a bit of a sandbox,” Aaron says about his journey at B&B. With space and time to try things out, his role at B&B has grown and shifted overtime. His current role in partnerships didn’t come with an existing blueprint, but it was shaped through curiosity and adaptability. Over the past three years, he’s been instrumental in growing partnerships into a lead generating function of the business, developing his own approach along the way.

Challenges

Like many people early in their career, Aaron found the shift from university into full time work a real adjustment. “Under communicating” early on made that transition harder than it needed to be, something he’s since worked to change. Having the right people around him made the difference. He credits Sahira and Rob as key mentors who supported him through those early years, helping him find his footing and build the confidence to grow into the role he holds today.

Achievements

Aaron won MVP within his first year at B&B, an achievement he still counts as one of his proudest. Ask him how that level of recognition is earned, and his answer is simple: “Go above and beyond during work hours and leave it all on the field.” For Aaron, it’s not about a single big win, it’s about consistently levelling up rather than plateauing.

Culture

Aaron describes B&B as a fast growing, exciting environment full of like-minded, hungry people. The working relationships run deeper than the office too. “There’s plenty of opportunity to not only work hard, but also enjoy the fruits of your labour,” he says, pointing to the friendships he’s built with colleagues outside of work as one of the things that’s kept him at B&B for five years and counting.

Advice for New Starters

Aaron’s advice for anyone starting out at B&B is straightforward: “Decide you want to be here, and give full effort to your work.” He’s quick to add that support is never far away, so long as you’re willing to ask for it. “The work isn’t easy, but if you’re interested and committed, you’ll do well.”

Looking Ahead and Personal Reflections

Outside of work, Aaron’s often found on the squash or padel court, a sport he notes is growing fast across the UK. He’s also into music, football, and getting outdoors when he can. Within Partnerships, Aaron’s approach is built on patience and adaptability. There’s no single playbook for managing partners, he says, and building genuine, individual relationships across a wide range of industries is what he brings to the team.
