Raed was introduced to the world of R&D Tax through his friendship with Haran, Bonham & Brooks’ co-founder. For many years prior, Raed gained an in-depth understanding of the construction industry, through working for multiple construction and interior design companies. In 2010 he set up his own construction company specialising within the higher residential market. It was his invaluable knowledge of the industry and his experience with his own R&D Tax Claim that inspired him to partner with Haran to establish Bonham & Brook. In doing so he could provide a higher level of service tailored to construction companies, a service which he had failed to receive in his own experience. Raed also owns his own Kitchen Showroom, which may come as no surprise to anyone who knows how much he loves to cook. When he isn’t cooking up a storm in his own kitchen, he’s often with his family or more often than not, hiding from them at the local snooker hall.

After years of hard work and determination, Haran has shaped this business into a successful consultancy and advisory service company. He puts his success in business down to his Sri Lankan father who guided him from an early age with the important attributes of integrity, hard work and duty of care to the customer. This duty of care is the one key factor that separated Bonham & Brook from their competitors, by ensuring services are inclusive to all businesses eligible for government support. Apart from his commitment to this successful business, Haran enjoys taking his family on road trips and enjoys playing football for his local team ‘The Surbiton Legends’.

Dom started off studying Law in Sheffield, before proceeding to split his time between the French Alps and the south coast, where he set up a language school. He became a web developer in the process and ran a small digital agency, before getting into the world of R&D Tax Credits in 2017. After a few years of helping everyone, from small builders to FTSE 250 consultancies, to claim R&D at Leyton, he joined Bonham and Brook in 2019 where the real fun began. He is now the Sales Director - London and oversees the company’s acquisition of new businesses as well as looking after current clients. When Dom isn’t found complaining about his knees hurting, he’s complaining that he’s not skiing. When he’s not doing that, he’s listening to music or shopping for new speakers to listen to it on.

David is Managing Director at Bonham and Brook North and Commercial Director of Bonham and Brook UK. His primary focus is on strategy and business growth, from revenue generation and product diversification to recruitment and geographic expansion. He has visions of how he would like businesses to be and commits his time and energy to turning those visions into reality. He has been working in consultancy since 2015, building successful teams and businesses in the UK and the USA. His background is in corporate finance and business leadership, with extensive experience ranging from multinational banks to start-ups. David is at his happiest exploring the highlands and islands of Scotland with friends and family, as well as traveling further afield and trying new things in faraway lands.

The Associate Director of the company, Ali, is an experienced and competent individual with a plethora of transferable business operations and management skills. He has been an integral part of Bonham and Brook's journey from the very beginning. By introducing and managing several essential administrative and operational functions at once, he paved the way for the growth and smooth running of the business. Currently, Ali continues to support the company and specialises in HR and people management. During his free time, Ali can be found indulging in various activities. He enjoys reading books, coaching individuals, and learning new skills. Additionally, Ali has a passion for physical fitness and enjoys pushing his limits by lifting weights at the gym, cycling long distances, sprinting on a 100m track, or competing in physical challenges such as Tough Mudder.

After 9 years as an HMRC R&D Inspector & 7 years in private practice ensuring R&D claims are ‘quality assured’, Malcolm is really enjoying his role at B&B as Head of Compliance. What a friendly, welcoming & hard-working bunch of colleagues! Outside of work, Malcolm enjoys walking in the beautiful Somerset countryside with his wife of 30+ years. He loves booking holidays, particularly to his second ‘home country’ New Zealand, where one of his daughters lives. He enjoys watching & occasionally, playing cricket. He’s still a supporter of Southampton FC and looks forward to their annual relegation battle.

Mohamed, an Engineering graduate, started in facilities management, collaborating with energy and sustainability experts. He became an Energy Manager at a large biomedical research facility, overseeing one of the largest inner city renewables installations in the UK. Transitioning to financial consultancy, he led energy tax relief specialists before becoming Product Development Director at Bonham and Brook. His focus on client relationship and organisational efficiency was key to his drive to help businesses achieve more, saving clients more than £15m over 3 years. Outside work, Mohamed's active lifestyle involves family travel, community bike rides, and local walking tours.

Chris brings over 30 years of business experience, including 15 years in senior commercial and leadership roles across accountancy, business, and tax advisory firms. He joins Bonham & Brook from a long-established capital allowances business and will be focusing on developing our suite of property and real estate-related services. Chris originally studied degrees in Engineering and Mathematics and also holds an MBA, along with significant practical experience in construction and accountancy. Chris has a grown-up family and grandchildren, and outside of work, he enjoys sport, music, and outdoor pursuits. While he now lives in Yorkshire, Chris is originally from North London and is a passionate Tottenham Hotspur fan.

As one of the first Partners at Bonham & Brook, Tom has played a central role in shaping the firm’s growth and expanding the range of services it offers today. He has led the move from a single discipline consultancy into a broader advisory platform spanning innovation incentives, energy and property strategy. Tom works closely with both clients and internal delivery teams, combining a highly engaged relationship style with a practical understanding of how projects operate in reality. He is regularly briefed by commercial and technical managers on new initiatives and helps translate operational ideas into clear structured programmes that deliver long term value. Across his client list, Tom helps create approximately £10m of reinvestment capacity each year through a combination of innovation incentives, energy optimisation and property strategy. He maintains an A-list client network across sport, technology and real estate sectors. Outside of work, Tom enjoys cricket, golf, tennis and long walks with his dog Summer, usually ending at a pub garden somewhere between London and the countryside.

Nick started his early career as an electrical engineer in his family business before moving into management of a nationwide engineering resource. He became a director of the business in 1994. The company expanded rapidly before it was acquired by Toad PLC in 1998 and Nick joined the board of the enlarged company, becoming CEO in 2002. The next 10 years were spent travelling across Europe and the Far East developing and managing the various group businesses until 2012. After a well-deserved sabbatical in the Swiss Apls, Nick returned to the UK as Chairman of Fusion Automation to help develop their UK and oversea markets. Finally, in 2019 Innovation in Life was established to advise business on R&D tax credits culminating in a merger with Bonham & Brook in 2024. Nick's greatest love is cooking and spending time with his family and two beautiful doggies.

Sahera has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Notre Dame University, Lebanon, and went on to achieve a Masters in Project Management, Finance and Risk from the City University of London. She was instantly interested by the Research and Development sector and joined Bonham & Brook after moving to London. She continues to contribute her key industry knowledge to our team of consultants and also provides support to our Operations team. Sahera loves to be outside exploring new places or spending time with her friends, beating them at the occasional board game.

Lee, a graduate from the School of Hard Knocks, was an HMRC R&D Enquiry Officer for over 4 years until retiring on 31 August 2024. Retirement lasted for 2 whole months as, believe it or not, he really missed compliance work (plus his wife kept finding DIY tasks for him to do). He is now our Senior Compliance Officer where his knowledge of, and insight into, the HMRC enquiry processes is proving invaluable both to colleagues and clients alike. Straight talking, Lee says it how it is! Outside of work, Lee has zero interest in physical exercise, lifting weights or eating healthily. Instead, he enjoys dining out with friends and family, and discovering new wines.

After working in the energy sector for 3 years, Shannon decided to move into a new challenge whilst utilising her current experience. Since university, she has worked across a range of sales and marketing roles in different sectors, always with a huge focus on client engagement and business development. This allowed her to perfectly fit into the Business Development team at Bonham and Brook, supporting existing customers and introducing new ones. Outside of the office Shannon can be found spending time with her family, or chasing the sun while travelling as often as she can.

Vishal is the Head of Financial Consultants with vast experience in R&D tax relief and Patent Box Relief. He has 10+ years in Consultancy and R&D Tax Relief working on some of the most complex R&D claims in the UK. He manages the Financial Consultancy Team working with and delivering the entire R&D portfolio. His main responsibilities include building and developing the Financial Claim Process and guiding the team with claim preparation, methodology and interviewing of clients. Outside of work he enjoys cooking, watching sports and reading.

Emily joined the B&B team with over five years of experience in marketing and content creation. Originally from Cyprus, she has lived in London for over eight years and holds a Dean’s List Distinction Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from Imperial College Business School. Her background includes working as an Audiovisual Content Creator, as well as her most recent role as Marketing Manager at Innovate UK, with valuable experience in the B2B and innovation funding sector.

Siddique is our senior software specialist with an MSc. in Eng. and an MBA specialising in Technology Innovation and Commercialization. Following 5 years in technology and engineering, Siddique has spent the last 3 in professional services and consulting; Siddique has helped clients of all sizes (including Unicorns) across all sectors advance their R&D. Instilling best practices to maximise claim size, liaising with HMRC, and is experienced in inquiry and audit defense. At Bonham and Brook, Mia's interest in Science, Technology, and Government tax incentives has grown. As a biology graduate, she's passionate about biotech, neuropharmacology, and the role that software will play in the future of healthcare. Her desire to help small companies grow first blossomed while managing an independent coffee chain in London, as well as supporting her local St. Andrews radio channel. Now, she aids companies in obtaining tax benefits. In her Client Success Manager role, Mia collaborates with Technical and Financial Consultants for top-tier tax services. However, outside of work, you will find her either sipping on Guinness, visiting local museums, or tasting new cuisines.

Tom comes from a strong Hospitality background sprinkled with a little bit of construction. Whilst studying for his degree in history, Tom found success working in stadium hospitality with a variety of management roles across some of London’s most historic sporting venues. These experiences helped Tom develop his interpersonal skills, whilst in the view of his two favourite sports – Football and Cricket! Now in the world of R&D Tax, Tom’s constant curiosity and eagerness to learn is helping him strive to his previous career successes. Out of the office, you’ll find Tom exploring London’s historical sites with a few pubs along the way!

Ollie is a Senior Financial Consultant, having worked in Research and Development since 2020. A member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), Ollie’s foundation in law, with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, enhances his approach to tax advisory, offering clients a well-rounded perspective grounded in both technical and legal insights. In his role as a Financial Consultant, Ollie is responsible for identifying and optimising clients' eligible R&D tax incentives. He conducts thorough analyses of project activities, costs, and compliance to ensure adherence to HMRC guidelines and precise reporting of qualifying expenditures. Ollie is always on the lookout for new adventures, especially thrilling city breaks across vibrant European countries!

Meet Mark, a dedicated professional in the realm of capital allowances with a career spanning over a decade. Mark’s expertise in this specialised field has made him a trusted advisor to many, helping clients navigate the complexities of tax relief on commercial properties. Over the years he has worked on over 1,000 successful commercial property assessments, encompassing a diverse array of cases from traditional and routine assignments to high-value, complex and bespoke projects. Mark is deeply passionate about helping clients unlock the potential tax benefits hidden within their commercial properties. He values accuracy, integrity, and diligence in his work, promising that every assessment is thoroughly conducted to provide maximum benefit. Mark has a background in construction and surveying and is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. When not with his family, Mark can be spotted either at Old Trafford, engaged at a poker table, or out on the course playing something that resembles a round of golf.

Danann plays a pivotal role in driving growth by supporting the development and submission of R&D tax credit claims. Interacting with clients across various industries, including technology, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals, he provides essential technical support by analysing client’s R&D activities to determine their eligibility, assisting with compliance checks and responding to inquiries. He was born and brought up in Malaysia but has since moved to the UK for university and working life. Danann is trilingual and fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay. He has a background in Mechanical Engineering and has previously worked as a tutor to students across the UK. Outside of work his passions include sports such as football, basketball and volleyball, keeping fit and active, travel and the occasional video game with friends.

Morgan's role is to aid clients in identifying, calculating, and reviewing allowable costs for R&D activities. He began as an accountant, rising to portfolio manager in an accountancy practice, where he would advise on an array of accounting and taxation matters. He then took the decision to pursue a specialism in R&D tax advisory. Now, he's focused on expanding his R&D expertise and venturing into innovation and incentive tax reliefs. Outside of work, his priorities are his family and football, almost always in that order…

Holding a degree in economics and having previously worked with the latest innovations in technology, Prad was enticed to start his career in the R&D tax domain as it stimulated both his Financial and Technological interests. With two years of experience in R&D tax, Prad spends the majority of his time ensuring that our client’s receive an optimum tax benefit. In addition to this, he is currently studying as a student member of the ATT to further enhance his knowledge in tax matters. Out of work, Prad enjoys spending his time playing football and analysing the recent trends in the stock market, whilst hoping that one day Arsenal return to their former glory days!

Ramanan, also known as Ram, graduated with a first class degree in Mathematics and Finance at the City, University of London. Ram started his career at Bonham and Brook as an CSM progressing to become an Associate Financial Consultant. He works with clients to help maximise their tax benefits and assists clients with their R&D tax queries. He believes in alway giving his best and maintaining a can-do attitude in any, and every event. He has previous experience working in credit control and is proud to have achieved a first-class degree in Maths and Finance. Outside of work, Ram enjoys playing football, and hanging out with his mates. He loves; Manchester United, Nandos and getting haircuts!

When joining B&B Eric came with 3 years of R&D tax relief knowledge and experience. He holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds. Outside of work, he enjoys football, the gym, and rugby. Fun fact: Eric and his dad are often mistaken for identical twins!

Matty is an experienced Sales Manager with a 5-year track record in team leadership and revenue growth. He excels in building high-performing sales teams through motivational leadership, strategic planning, and coaching. He motivates his teams by using inspirational quotes taken from a book he found on a train which travels with him everywhere. Matty is a cycling enthusiast who recently completed a 2000-mile trip starting in Germany and ending in Greece and he's a dedicated Liverpool FC fan who enjoys discussing the importance of Jurgen Klopp's spectacles.

Rory is our Head of Sales at Bonham and Brook North. After studying Product Design Engineering at Strathclyde University, he moved into Corporate Banking, before switching career paths to Innovation Funding. In his 7 years in the R&D tax market, Rory has helped recover over £25M of tax savings to hundreds of businesses across the UK. At Bonham and Brook his primary focus is to stimulate revenue generation across the sales team, providing coaching and development strategies to help individuals reach their full potential. Outside of work Rory is a big whisky connoisseur, an even bigger foodie, and football-daft.

Jack studied History at university which also developed many skills which he brings into our team, at Bonham & Brook. The world of R&D Tax was entirely new to Jack when he first joined, but he feels lucky being able to help so many businesses across an array of industries. With an incredibly strong start at Bonham & Brook, Jack is looking forward to assisting many businesses with their growth funding in the future. Football is Jack’s pride and joy, although Liverpool is said to make or break his weekends.

Abdulfattah has a background in mechanical engineering and a diverse track record across multiple sectors including aerospace, food engineering, and software.

Abdirrahman is a Technical Consultant holding an Electronic Engineering degree from King's College London. He has extensive experience in software and data engineering, as well as machine learning. His continuous learning, and always staying updated with the latest industry trends play a vital role in supporting the consultancy team. As an R&D Tax Technical Consultant, he specialises in assisting companies in identifying and claiming tax incentives related to research and development activities. The primary role of a Technical Consultant involves a deep understanding of R&D tax credit schemes to ensure businesses maximize their eligible claims. Outside of work Abdirrahman enjoys reading books, watching films, the outdoors and cooking.

Njomza holds a Geography degree from King’s College London and was instantly interested in the energy sector upon graduating. She now works at Bonham and Brook in the Energy department, where she assists clients in identifying and claiming incentives related to reducing their energy costs. An Energy Consultant by profession and naturally curious about the world, Njomza enjoys travelling, discovering hidden food gems, and making lasting memories with friends and family.

After graduating with a Natural Sciences degree, Muntasir joined Bonham and Brook as an Associate Energy Consultant. Having specialised in Physics, his strengths lie in independent research, programming, and data analysis. Muntasir is continuously learning from more experienced colleagues and from those who excel in different circumstances. In his role as an energy consultant, he supports clients in the engineering and manufacturing sectors via exemptions and compensation for energy-intensive industries. This encourages manufacturers to continue production in the UK, avoiding over-reliance on imports for crucial materials such as steel and glass. Outside the office, Muntasir enjoys watching Arsenal matches, eating lamb donner kebabs and splitting the G.

Chris studied Business and Enterprise management at Sheffield Hallam which enabled him to develop a variety of skills, which he brings to head up our Manchester team at Bonham & Brook. During his time at Leyton, Chris worked along side a wide variety of sectors. However, he is specifically passionate about delivering value to both the Engineering and Construction sectors. Chris is really looking to excel his career in management, helping grow the Manchester team, whilst still bringing in high quality business opportunities for the company. In his spare time, you will find Chris either in the pub watching his beloved Manchester United, out and about exploring the Lake District or building up his music knowledge on hip hop!

Rob graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Economics and Business Management. He then moved to London to train as a Chartered Accountant, working in audit for Blick Rothenberg, gaining experience auditing clients across a variety of industries, notably manufacturing and technology. Rob became ACA qualified in 2018 and shortly after qualifying became Finance Manager for Accor Hotels, a global leader in the hospitality industry with over 250 hotels in the UK. At Accor, Rob managed the UK finance function, overseeing accounting and tax matters across the company. He is now Senior Financial Consultant for Bonham and Brook, providing support and technical guidance from a financial perspective to clients and across the company. Rob loves his sport, growing up playing rugby and football and supporting Aston Villa. Whilst his rugby playing days are now over, he still enjoys the occasional five a side football cameo.

Huzaifah brings over seven years of experience in tax advisory, with a particular focus on Stamp Taxes and HMRC investigations. Beginning his career in practice as an accountant and part-qualified ACCA, he developed a strong technical foundation before moving into more complex advisory work. Huzaifah has worked closely with senior barristers on high-stakes cases, representing clients in HMRC disputes and providing strategic guidance informed by in-depth legal research. His work is characterised by a practical understanding of tax law and a sharp focus on client outcomes. Outside of his professional pursuits, Huzaifah is dedicated to calisthenics and powerlifting —interests that reflect his focus, discipline, and drive for continuous improvement.

Attif is an experienced entrepreneur who has launched several successful small businesses. With a proven record of turning ideas into thriving ventures, Attif joined Bonham and Brook to help grow the business into what it is today. He now spends a great deal of time keeping everyone from spending all the company money on Haribo and Coffee and in his free time enjoys driving sports cars on the local racetrack. More recently, he’s been spending lunch times fighting it out over a game of Backgammon with our Head of HR, with a running score of 62-10 since the beginning of the year.
