Raed was introduced to the world of R&D Tax through his friendship with Haran, Bonham & Brooks’ co-founder. For many years prior, Raed gained an in-depth understanding of the construction industry, through working for multiple construction and interior design companies. In 2010 he set up his own construction company specialising within the higher residential market. It was his invaluable knowledge of the industry and his experience with his own R&D Tax Claim that inspired him to partner with Haran to establish Bonham & Brook. In doing so he could provide a higher level of service tailored to construction companies, a service which he had failed to receive in his own experience. Raed also owns his own Kitchen Showroom, which may come as no surprise to anyone who knows how much he loves to cook. When he isn’t cooking up a storm in his own kitchen, he’s often with his family or more often than not, hiding from them at the local snooker hall.
After years of hard work and determination, Haran has shaped this business into a successful consultancy and advisory service company. He puts his success in business down to his Sri Lankan father who guided him from an early age with the important attributes of integrity, hard work and duty of care to the customer. This duty of care is the one key factor that separated Bonham and Brook from their competitors, by ensuring services are inclusive to all businesses eligible for government support. Apart from his commitment to this successful business, Haran enjoys taking his family on road trips and enjoys playing football for his local team ‘The Surbiton Legends’.
Dom started off studying Law in Sheffield, before proceeding to split his time between the French Alps and the south coast, where he set up a language school. He became a web developer in the process and ran a small digital agency, before getting into the world of R&D Tax Credits in 2017. After a few years of helping everyone, from small builders to FTSE 250 consultancies, to claim R&D at Leyton, he joined Bonham and Brook in 2019 where the real fun began. He is now the Chief Commercial Officer and oversees the company’s acquisition of new businesses as well as looking after current clients. When Dom isn’t found complaining about his knees hurting, he’s complaining that he’s not skiing. When he’s not doing that, he’s listening to music or shopping for new speakers to listen to it on.

He is now Senior Financial Consultant for Bonham and Brook, providing support and technical guidance from a financial perspective to clients and across the company. Rob loves his sport, growing up playing rugby and football and supporting Aston Villa. Whilst his rugby playing days are now over, he still enjoys the occasional five a side football cameo.

Tad’s journey began in Slovenia and then moved to Bristol, where he completed his studies of International Relations and Economy. Having previously done everything from bartending to fixing medical equipment, and even door to door sales, he joined Bonham & Brook, formerly SME Gov Capital, in 2018. After starting on the commercial side of the business, he has since moved on to operations and advisory, where he deals with our internal processes and bridging the gap between the commercial and consultancy teams, making sure all aspects run smoothly and effectively. When he's not chasing our team, he can be found on the sofa playing a game of FIFA, travelling, talking (on and on) about cars, or racing (in a go-kart, not his car), thinking he is the next Lewis Hamilton.
After studying Maths and Finance at City University, Emelie found an interest in financial technology and completed a Masters in Cyber Security. Her exposure to technology at previous jobs involved the creation and development of in-house systems which enabled efficient processes. Bonham & Brook's broad client portfolio enticed me to join the team in order to further develop her skills. As a "numbers girl", she started her own tutoring service at 17 and taught maths at all levels. When she's not in the office, she is busy either teaching maths or baking cakes for birthdays and weddings!
Ella began her career whilst studying Business and Marketing Management in Oxford. During this time, she also worked as a Legal Assistant in the Channel Islands which turned into a multifaceted role as she helped develop the company’s software and internal processes. Her passion and love for marketing later led her to marketing-based roles for multiple apps, focusing on consumer engagement and increasing brand awareness. Before her introduction to Bonham & Brook, Ella worked in events in the Superyacht industry; in both an agency and in-house capacity. When she’s not in the office she’ll be found with her friends, either shopping with a coffee in hand or on the dancefloor with a G&T.
Ali's journey started with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Finance but he quickly realised that he was better suited to pursue a career in People Management. With the support of the company, Ali continues to grow professionally as an associate member by studying CIPD Level 7. Adam studied Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Manchester, a city which he now calls home. During his time as a student, he ran an e-commerce and clothing business before embarking on a career in sales and, eventually, innovation funding. He is passionate about delivering value to all clients but currently specialises in the Engineering, Manufacturing and Software sectors. Adam's own personal objectives and goals mirror those of Bonham & Brook's, making him the best candidate to head up our Manchester office. Adam oversees the company’s acquisition of new businesses, whilst looking after current clients. When Adam isn’t developing our sales talent or solving our clients' problems, he can be found walking his dog, boxing imaginary opponents in the mirror or reading investment books.
Before jumping into the world of R&D Tax credits, Angelo started out by producing music whilst running a fashion brand, all before the age of 18. He went on to study music at the University of Kent, whilst still designing and spearheading his business in the fashion world. Shortly after this, his keen entrepreneurial attitude to learning more about business and finance has seen him excel in the world of sales. During his first year at the company, he has been able to identify sectors which would prosper from the R&D scheme and has helped numerous businesses receive significant benefits. When he’s not designing, you will find him at the local pub chatting all things Liverpool FC, and no he does not shut up about winning the Premier League this year.

After becoming a father of two, Nikheel was welcomed into Bonham & Brook with open arms as he has been known for a long time to break targets. He spends all day speaking to businesses across a variety of industries about the projects they take on and the challenges they subsequently face in the process. Despite having knowledge spanning across all industries, he has a particular love for construction. This first started in 2009, when he purchased his first derelict house to make his own and he still aims to build a large property portfolio so he can travel the world! Before that adventure, he will continue to enhance his skills as a self-taught DJ, photographer, chef and Cryptocurrency trader.
Celine’s career began right after finishing college when she got straight into Administration and Office Managing. This wasn’t part of her ‘plan’ but her ability to quickly adapt to new environments allowed her to open herself up to a new sector which she had no experience in and in doing so, gained 4 years worth of transferrable knowledge. Her love for people and seeing them grow, combined with her desire to take on new challenges, opened up a door for her into Bonham & Brook. Her experience in managing people, enhanced by her volunteer work, has allowed her to further utilise her communication skills when engaging with people. If she’s not at in the office, you’ll often find her behind the camera, trying to become the next big editorial photographer.
With a degree in Economics, Prad came to start his career at Bonham & Brook in the commercial team after his success in working in commercial retail at Dixons Carphone Group. His previous experience allowed his passion for learning about the latest innovation in technology to grow, whilst building interpersonal relationships with his customers. This formed an excellent foundation for him to move into his current role in the R&D tax sector. Out of work, Prad enjoys spending his time playing football and badminton with his friends, whilst hoping that Arsenal returns to their former glory days!
Ben began his professional life working as a labourer both here in London and then down under in Australia, after which he decided to formalise his career as an Electrician. During this time he sharpened his tools on various aspects of the trade and developed a greater understanding of the industry. Prior to completing his apprenticeship, he was exposed to the R&D sector by his brother Adam, who he has collaborated with to head up the Manchester office of Bonham & Brook. In his spare time, you will find Ben either (reluctantly) doing mates rates jobs around friends and families houses or working up a sweat and splitting lips in Muay Thai classes.
