His Journey at Bonham & Brook
Tom joined Bonham & Brook during the Covid pandemic, initially drawn by the opportunity the company presented. He started as a Telesales Executive (now known as SDR) and quickly found himself in an environment that felt warm, friendly, and full of energy. “It was a young and fun place to work, and over time it became somewhere I made amazing friends and met some truly great people.”
What stood out from early on was the culture of opportunity. Just four months into his time on the sales team, Tom made the move into consultancy, a transition that would prove to be a defining milestone in his career. From there, a series of promotions followed, each one reflecting his growing capability and commitment to the business.
Challenges
One of the most meaningful challenges Tom faced was learning how to navigate difficult conversations and manage his own expectations of others. Early on, he recognised that his approach to disagreements with colleagues was not always conducive to a positive outcome. Through collaboration, empathy, and a genuine effort to understand others’ perspectives, he developed the interpersonal skills that now underpin his leadership approach. “I had to learn how to handle complex situations in a way that worked for everyone involved, and that took real effort and self-awareness.”
Achievements
Tom’s proudest moments are rooted in collective wins. He was part of the sales team that signed the company’s biggest invoice at the time on the United Living account, and later played a key role on the delivery side of that same project. Perhaps most memorably, he was part of the team that cracked Bonham & Brook’s first million pound month in March 2025. “Being part of those moments, both commercially and operationally, is something I am really proud of.” Beyond the numbers, Tom takes pride in the value he has contributed not only financially, but in helping the business be the best it can possibly be.
Culture
Tom describes the culture at Bonham & Brook as one defined by freedom and genuine openness. “There is an air of freedom here that I think is really important. Good ideas are heard, and people are given the space to express themselves and grow in whatever direction feels right for them.”
Rather than pointing to a single mentor, Tom highlights the environment itself as his greatest influence. The ability to try new things, new roles, tasks, and responsibilities, has been central to his development and allowed him to grow steadily and authentically throughout his time at the company.
Looking Ahead and Personal Reflections
Reflecting on five years at Bonham & Brook, Tom is clear about how much he has grown, both professionally and personally. The relationships he has built along the way are as meaningful to him as any career milestone. “I have grown a lot as a person over the past five years, and some of the friendships and relationships I have built here are ones I will carry with me for life.”
Looking ahead, Tom is energised by new opportunities and new people, and the continued evolution of the business. His advice to anyone joining Bonham & Brook is characteristically straightforward: “Enjoy it. It is a great place to work. Be your own character and you will fit in just fine.”
