International Women’s Day – a Chat With Tatiana

March 8, 2024

Tell us a bit about who you are, your role, your background and how you help clients or support the team at B&B…

Client engagement manager, background in hospitality, recruitment, business & Spanish, ensure we maintain excellent relationships with our clients, look after key clients, organise events & hospitality, look after & strategise the client life cycle.

What inspired you to embark on this career?

Passion for excellent customer service!

How does Bonham & Brook support women in the workplace?

Last year we marked the occasion with a lunch for international women’s day, however Bonham & Brook is an inclusive place to work all year round.

Who is your biggest female inspiration?

Jacinda Ardern/Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Have you encountered any barriers being a woman in this industry? If so, how have you overcome them?

Mostly male industry – ensuring this doesn’t affect my confidence. Valuing my relationships with my other female colleagues, but also taking the opportunity to learn from my male colleagues.

How do you help influence and mentor your fellow female colleagues?

Encouragement & reassurance – as women, we are taught from birth to be humble & doubt ourselves, often resulting in lower self esteem than our male counter parts. It is important to empower each other daily to battle against this learnt behaviour.

What is some advice you would go back in time to tell your younger self?

Advocate for the women in your life.

Do you think it is still important that we recognise International Women’s Day in 2024?

YES – despite consistent efforts to improve this, we are still living with the results of systematic sexism & must maintain the discussion. There is also still a lot to be done for trans women.

This year’s theme is #InspireInclusion – what does inclusion mean to you?

Ensuring everyone feels welcome in any given situation, making sure everyone has the opportunity to be involved always.
